September last, from the 4rd to the 10th, the 32nd Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup has placed.  A spectacular event organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (YCCS), in conjunction with the International Maxi Association (IMA), and partnership with title sponsor Rolex.

The race assembles the most impressive collection of racing maxis in the world. Powerful designs, emanating performance ideals from the 1930s and the present, elite crew and passionate owners.

Fifty are the boats entered the 32nd edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup which will be remembered as the first edition in which participation in foil boats has opened.

There was the debut of FlyingNikka by Roberto Lacorte, the first mini maxi able to fly on foils in a similar way to the AC75, the boats used for the America’s Cup. Another debut was for the ClubSwan 80, My Song by Pier Luigi Loro Piana.

Everyone participating at the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup is arguably a winner.
